Some advice before you start

Step 1
Before replacing the laser lens of your Playstation 4 Slim, you have to turn it off and disconnect all its cables for safety reasons (especially the power supply cable and the HDMI).
Use the nylon spudger to unclip the hard disk plastic bracket.
Step 2
Then, use the cruciform screwdriver to remove the screw circled in red securing the hard disk tray.
Step 3
Grasp the plastic element and gently pull it to remove the hard disk tray.
Remove the whole tray.
The hard drive of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 4
Use the iSesamo to gently peel off the guarantee label stuck near the input/output connector of the console, on the back.
Step 5
After that, remove the screw circled in red with a Torx T8 screwdriver.
Step 6
Slide the iSesamo in the space on the left side and then on the right side. Pry up to unclip the lower case.
Step 7
Grasp the lower case and remove it.
Step 8
The lower case of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 9
Slide the iSesamo in the lower gap on the left and right side. Pry up to unclip the top cover.
Step 10
Grasp the top cover and remove it.
Step 11
The top cover of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 12
Use the Torx T8 screwdriver to remove the two long screws circled in red.
They secure the power supply.
Step 13
Grasp the aluminium sheet and remove it.
Step 14
After that, use the cruciform screwdriver to remove the screw circled in red securing the secondary WiFi/Bluetooth antenna.
Step 15
Grasp the antenna with tweezers and slightly shift it as shown on the pictures.
Step 16
Keep using the cruciform screwdriver to remove the screw circled in red located in front on the other side of the console.
It secures the power supply.
Step 17
After that, grasp the power supply and rotate it forward to 90° angle.
Don't remove it yet, it is still connected by a small cable!
Step 18
Gently pull on the power supply cable and disconnect it from the power supply.
Step 19
Your Playstation 4 Slim power supply is now removed.
Step 20
Use the nylon spudger to gently disconnect the secondary WiFi/Bluetooth antenna.
Step 21
After that, grasp the antenna by its cable and gently remove it.

The secondary WiFi/Bluetooth antenna of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 23
Use the Torx T8 screwdriver to remove the screw circled in red securing the main metallic block.
Step 24
Take the nylon spudger to gently disconnect the main WiFi Bluetooth antenna.
Step 25
After that, grasp the antenna by its cable and gently remove it.
Step 26
Remove the screw circled in red securing the corner of the metallic block with the cruciform screwdriver.
Step 27
After that, grasp the blue part of the optical reader electrical engine cable to disconnect the lens engine cable.
Then, use the nylon spudger to unlock the laser lens.
Step 28
Grasp the blue part of the lens cable and disconnect the cable.
Then, disconnect the driving engine cable of the hard disk.
Step 29
Finally, grasp the blue part of the power/eject buttons card cable and disconnect it.
Grasp the fan cable and disconnect it.
Step 30
Use the cruciform screwdriver to remove the 28 screws circled in red securing the main metal block:
- Photo 1: 21 screws
- Photo 2: 5 screws
- Photo 3: 2 screws
Step 31
Grasp the metal block and remove it.
Step 32
Use the cruciform screwdriver to remove the two screws circled in red securing the heat sink bracket.
Grasp it and remove it.
Step 33
After that, grasp the logic board and remove it.
Step 34
The logic board of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 35
Remove the 4 screws circled in red with the cruciform screwdriver:
- There is 1 screw on the lower left of the heat sink block
- There are 3 screws on the top of the heat sink block near the fan.
Step 36
Grasp the heat sink block and remove it.
Step 37
The heat sink of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 38
Then remove the screw circled in red securing the main WiFi/Bluetooth antenna with the cruciform screwdriver.
Step 39
Grasp the antenna and remove it.
Step 40
Grasp the power/eject card cable and disconnect it.
Remove it.
Step 41
Then, grasp the Blu-ray reader and remove it.
Step 42
The Blu-ray reader of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 43
Remove the 4 screws circled in red with the cruciform screwdriver.
They secure the lower bracket of the reader.
Step 44
Grasp the driving engine cable of the disk and peel it off from the lower bracket, but don't remove it completely.
Step 45
Grasp the white adhesive tape securing the lens cable and remove it.
Step 46
Grasp the cover of the reader and rotate it to a 90° angle.
Step 47
Then, use the nylon spudger to unlock the lens connector.
Grasp the cable and remove it.
Step 48
The Blu-ray reader lens cable of your Playstation 4 is now removed.
Step 49
After that, grasp the optical drive and remove it.
Step 50
The optical drive of your Playstation 4 Slim is now removed.
Step 51
Use the cruciform screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the lens on the optical drive.
Step 52
Use tweezers to grasp the lens supporting element on the block and remove it.
Step 53
Then, keep using the cruciform screwdriver to remove the two screws circled in red securing the laser lens frame engine.
Step 54
Grasp the engine with tweezers and gently shift it toward the bottom.
Be careful not to tear off the orange engine cable.
Step 55
Grasp the plastic element securing the lens on its frame and remove it with tweezers.
Step 56
Use the nylon spudger to push the lens cylindric element/metal rail upward.
While pushing on this element, gently remove the optical drive from the rail.
Step 57
Grasp the laser lens and remove it.
Step 58
The laser lens of your Playstation 4 Slim is now disassembled.
You can replace it with a new one if needed.
